# Made with PalStudio

> Made with PalStudio and PalPlayer badges and banners for community pal makers – SVG and PNG, light and dark, with copy-paste HTML and Markdown – plus how to link to PalStudio and PalPlayer and the rules for sharing pals.

Made a pal with PalStudio Community? Tell people! Here are badges and banners for your pal's page, how to link to the PalStudio website, and a few plain rules for sharing.

## The short version

- **Your pal packs are yours to share.** Put the `.pal` files you’ve made on your site, a forum, or send them to friends – for free.
- **The apps come from the PalStudio website.** Link to it for PalPlayer and PalStudio Community – don’t share copies of them.
- **Use the badges as they are.** They say your pal is *made with PalStudio* – never that WhiteFish Creative made it.

## Link to the website

Anyone who wants your pal needs PalPlayer to run it, and anyone who wants to make their own needs PalStudio Community. Send them to the website for both:

- **PalPlayer** – the [PalPlayer page](https://palstudio.whitefishcreative.co.uk/palplayer/) on the PalStudio website. Use it next to your pal pack, so people can get PalPlayer first.
- **PalStudio Community** – the [PalStudio page](https://palstudio.whitefishcreative.co.uk/palstudio/) on the PalStudio website. Use it with a “Made with PalStudio” badge.

The snippets with each badge already link to the right page. Please link to the pages rather than straight to a download: the website always has the latest version, for the right computer, and says which files are ready.

## The rules, plainly

- **Share your pals freely.** Pals you make with PalStudio Community are yours – your art, sounds and lines. Give your pal packs away anywhere you like, but don’t sell them.
- **Don’t host copies of PalPlayer or PalStudio.** Please don’t upload, mirror or re-share the apps’ installers or files – not on your site, a download site, a file-sharing service or bundled with your pal. Link to the website instead, so people always get the genuine, up-to-date and checked apps.
- **Made with PalStudio, not made by us.** A community pal is “made with PalStudio” by you. Don’t say or suggest that WhiteFish Creative made, checked or endorses it, don’t call it an official pal, and don’t use the WhiteFish Creative name or logo for it.
- **Keep the badges as they are.** Pick light or dark and any size, but don’t redraw them, change their colours or change the words. Download them and host them yourself, or use them straight from the website – either’s fine.
- **Only use what you have the right to use** – in your pal and on its page.

The pal on the badges is Pip, PalStudio’s mascot. The full terms are the PalStudio Community licence, which PalStudio Community shows when you first open it.

## Badges

Small badges for a pal’s page, a README or a forum post. The SVG stays sharp at any size; the PNGs come at normal size and at twice the size for high-resolution screens. Each one is shown on a light and a dark background – pick whichever suits your page.

## Banners

A wider banner for a website, and a picture for sharing your pal on social media.
